During the Session

During a sports massage treatment a detailed patient history will be taken. Relevant tests on specific muscles will be undertaken to identify problem areas. Clients will usually be treated on a couch and will require to remove at least some clothing. A massage oil such as grapeseed oil will normally be used. At the end of the treatment a reassessment of the affected muscles will be undertaken. The therapist and the client will agree a treatment plan which may include recommendations for subsequent massage treatments, periods of rest, stretches etc.
